David Pinnick, raised £2,000 for Children with Leukaemia, his crossed the line in 4:15.Jessica Pinnick, 13, representing her school JFS in the Borough of Brent in the mini-marathon, raised more than £200 for Norwood.

Her time over the 2.6 miles was 21:08.Michael Goldman overcame numerous injuries, excess weight, lack of preparation, the four- mile hike to get to the start line and the scorching 75 degree heat tom finish in a fairly respectable 6 hours 13 minutes.

He said: “For any who is unsure let me tell you 26.2 miles is one hell of a long way to travel, especially on foot.

I have all the aches and pains and a few monster blisters to prove it.“A massive thank you to everyone who has sponsored me, at the moment I have raised just over £5,000 for Christie’s Hospital, one of the UK’s leading hospitals for treating cancer and all funds raised will contribute to better facilities for young people with cancer, research and developing the use of technological advances.Brother and sister team ...
