The agency doesn’t collect all of that, since some just can’t afford that much.

As long as they’re trying, though, they can stay.

“If he’s sleeping in and not trying, we don’t have any problem kicking him out,” Reese said.All residents are subject to random drug and alcohol tests.

Frequency is handled on a case-by-case basis.

“Our philosophy is we have to take everyone in.

It’s the only way we can figure out who shouldn’t be there,” Rogers said.And there are some who end up opting for homelessness.“We’ve had a few who, we take them here and they say they like it better out there,”...
