Americana rock fans may know him from his days in the band Vigilantes of Love.

In 2001, he split up the band to concentrate on a solo career.

Mallonee's latest music is in the vein of Neil Young and Bob Dylan.

It's rootsy with clever, strong lyrics.The 45-year-old says he writes "50 to 60" songs a year.
