...Children's treatment centres provide a wide range of communication and life skills services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology, to approximately 45,000 young people each year.

A variety of other services and clinics are provided depending on local needs and the mix of other providers in each community.

STRENGTHENING MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES In 2007-08, the Ontario government is investing an additional $24.5 million to address gaps in local mental health service needs and reduce wait times.

This new funding will be shared in three ways among community-based organizations that provide services to children and youth with social and behavioural problems and mental health disorders, some of whom may have other special needs such as autism spectrum disorders: < The Ministry's Central East Region is also receiving $858,700 in regional annual allocations as part of the $4.5 million to address community priorities.
