Entrepreneurial spirit... Selling it hurt so bad."Empie accepted a job as a church administrator with Greater Union Baptist Church. He said he was called on by God to make the career change. He then sold his company, J&J WebPages, which he began five years ago as a teen."I thought I'd be a Web developer the rest of my life, but the Lord had other plans," he said.Empie said developing and running the business has lead up to the work he will continue to do - helping people."I will miss the technological aspect of my work," he said.Empie entered into the Web-development business based on this premise.When Empie was in middle school, he worked for an outreach program. The director asked him to build a program Web site."I had no idea how to build one," he said. "I often put my foot in my mouth, so I said, 'Why not? '"Empie had help, and it took him three months. He loved developing Web sites and soon began his own, which stood for Jesus & Jeremy Web Pages.When Empie recently sold the business, he had built his client base to more than 80."I'm going from making a living to not having a salary at all, but I'm so happy," he said.
