Movie is no stem-cell version of An Inconvenient Truth

Adam was blind from birth.

The Sussers say the controversial treatment has helped him gain his eyesight.

"That's why we speak out for embryonic-cell research," Gary Susser said.

He's done that everywhere from the Oprah show to Tallahassee hearing rooms.

And so it was with high hopes that the Sussers, friends and supporters showed up at a Boca theater Wednesday for their first look at the not-quite-finished product.

The lights went down.

He withdrew from the movie.

"We wanted to make a pro-stem-cell research argument, and they didn't show it."The filmmakers are upset that Susser's so upset.
