I respect the work council has done but if you look at them, young people are not well represented."Meek said she became interested in running for council when she helped guide the creation of Veteran's Memorial Park through city government."That experience taught me how important it is to listen to the average citizen," she said.

"I think it's time the average citizen is heard on council."Klose said he is proud of his service on council and looks forward to another four years."I like being part of major decisions, even if they are difficult decisions," Klose said.

"Part of my first term was learning how things got done.

Now I can bring more experience to the position and that should be a help."Glover said his background in corporate business has helped him be effective on council."The city is a corporation - that's why my background is good for the city," he said.

"I feel there are some things the city still needs and I would like to complete some projects for the city."Glover said he wants to make the Richmond community a non-smoking community and would like to pursue some type of tax on mopeds so their use can be regulated.Klose wants to press...
